Why Choose Us for Safe Restoration?
At Heritex Restoration, the safety of our team, clients, and the public is as important to us as protecting the buildings we work on.
SMAS Worksafe Accredited: We’re proud to be SMAS accredited, showing our commitment to industry-leading health and safety standards.
Expert Advisors: We have independent health and safety advisors who ensure we are building safely, reporting properly and our policies and procedures are up to date and effective on every project.
How We Keep Everyone Safe
Thorough Risk Assessments: Before any work begins, we carry out a detailed risk assessment and method statement, tailored to each unique project. Every team member reviews and signs these documents.
Construction Phase Plans: Acting as principal contractor? We prepare a full Construction Phase Plan to make sure everyone on site is protected and legal requirements are met.
Site Inductions: Every operative and subcontractor gets a site-specific induction, so everyone knows the risks, the rules, and what to do in an emergency.
On-Site Safety in Action
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hard hats, hi-vis, gloves, safety boots, and specialist gear—our team always has the right kit for the job.
Safe Handling of Materials: We follow strict COSHH guidelines for any hazardous materials, and ensure COSHH sheets are prepared before use of hazardous materials
Quality, Training & Compliance
Qualified Team: Our team holds SMSTS, SSSTS and CSCS cards to ensure they carry out work safely and we’re always learning to stay on top of safety best practices.
Documented Procedures: All our risk assessments, method statements, and inductions are properly recorded and stored for easy reference.
Vetted Subcontractors: When using Subcontractors we only work with subcontractors who pass our strict health and safety checks and have the right insurance.
Always Improving
We’re always reviewing our health and safety practices, with help from our external advisors, to make sure we’re doing the best for our people, our clients, and the historic buildings we care for.
